Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, living on campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a residence, including administering medications, coordinating schedules, driving to activities, leading devotions and Chapel, budgeting; initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student-home assignment; benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 per couple with housing/meals/utilities), relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training; requires both spouses to complete individual applications, HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift 50 lbs., with a two-year marriage minimum and other housing/disciplinary constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
