Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for ~8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from rotating placements to a permanent houseparent role with the same group of students. This is a two-person, legally married couple position (minimum two years married) with driver’s license requirements and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; requires commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and no alcohol on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to be certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
