Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household routine management for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions while planning developmental and recreational engagement. Oversee budgeting and household reporting. After initial support of various homes, transition to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. This two-person position requires married couples (both 27+, no more than three dependent children) to reside on campus. Schedule involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time while students are in school.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
