Job Summary
As a Child Nutrition Training Specialist, you will train, mentor, and support staff across the district; onboard new staff to understand department guidelines; train new managers; substitute in a secondary school when the manager is absent; ensure compliance with federal meal patterns for lunch, breakfast, and childcare; conduct school site visits to ensure standard meal operations, food safety, and customer satisfaction; participate in child nutrition leadership activities; work with department leadership in recommending employment, and provide written/recorded sanitation standards in conformity with local and state codes; provide internal opportunities for professional growth and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition, food service management, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or related field (preferred). Training experience required.
- Or Associates degree with 3-5 years in large quantity food preparation; must have experience with state food code, ServSafe certification, training experience.
