Job Summary
Technology Repair/Support Specialist for the Child Nutrition department, providing first-line troubleshooting and remote assistance for district technology across sites. Responsibilities include establishing clear communication between Technology Services and site staff, assisting with technology at assigned sites, resolving computer problems via in-person, phone, or remote support, providing instruction on software and hardware use, completing repairs and creating work orders from remote locations, maintaining technology inventory and software licensing, installing district software/hardware and configuring file servers, assisting with new technology purchases, offering training on new software or hardware, and supporting Wi-Fi/connectivity issues. May assist Site Technology Support Specialists and Technology Department on additional projects as time allows. Requires excellent communication, the ability to handle feedback and work under deadlines, and the capacity to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- some formal college computer training required
- associates degree in computer field preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in technology-related position such as help desk, customer support or computer operations
- experience with Macintosh, Windows and networking required
- Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of PCs and a variety of hardware and software including Microsoft Office Suite
- strong problem resolution and communication skills
- working knowledge of MS Windows XP and 7 and basic networking concepts
- Must possess valid Oklahoma driver's license and a personal vehicle
