Job Summary
Assist the manager in food service operations, including ordering, inventory control, and ensuring production standards. Prepare and serve food according to menu requirements while maintaining high sanitation and safety practices. Supervise storage and handling of supplies, manage cashier functions, and maintain daily preparation records. Correct unsafe conditions and report issues promptly to the supervisor. This role supports the Child Nutrition Manager across assigned campuses with a 183-day calendar. The position requires two years of food service experience, supervisory skills, and knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand written and verbal food preparation and safety instructions
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
- Ability to perform basic math
- Knowledge of food handler safety
- Ability to manage personnel
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Two years of food service work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of personal computer for cashiering preferred
