Job Summary
Conduct non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach at installation Child Development Centers for children ages 0-5 and school-aged youth. Visually observe, participate in, and coach staff and parents on behavior management while delivering presentations on social skills and emotional learning. Build rapport with families by attending community events and assisting with transition adjustments for new schools or homes. Respond to emergent situations across indoor and outdoor installation locations, including rugged terrain and varying weather conditions. Communicate trends and issues to Team Leads while engaging in regular in-service training.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance
