Job Summary
Virtual outpatient Child & Adolescent Therapist providing individual and family therapy, conducting culturally sensitive assessments, and developing crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and administrative staff; ensures timely billing and documentation and coordinates insurance authorization. Offers onboarding and ongoing educational resources, competitive benefits, and a pathway for licensure development; supports ethical practice and confidentiality in delivering mental health care to diverse clients. Based in a virtual role with New Directions Mental Health (Transformations Care Network) and serving clients in a remote capacity from the NYC area.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field
- Experience working with children and families
- Provisional license per state regulation (if required)
- Educational background leading to professional licensing
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Ability to manage time and complete documentation efficiently
