Job Summary
The Child Life Specialist will assess individual patients and facilitate coping techniques, provide play opportunities, and establish supportive relationships with patients and their families. They will collaborate with the health care team, maintain records, supervise volunteers/students, and may work weekends/holidays. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Child Life or closely related field, completion of Child Life Internship, ACLP Child Life Certification Exam readiness, and certification as a CCLS within 1 year. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Life or closely related field
- Completion of Child Life Internship prior to hire
- ACLP- Child Life Certification Exam ready prior to hire
- Must receive Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification within 1 year of employment
