Job Summary
Casual/Part-Time Child Life Specialist delivering evening group programming for pediatric patients and families; conducts assessments, provides developmentally appropriate play and preparation for procedures, documents in EHR within 24 hours, participates in interdisciplinary meetings, supports families, and may assist with administrative tasks. Roles include facilitating normed growth and development activities, providing emotional support to patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to create a supportive, child-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Child Life, Child Development, Child Psychology or related field
- Internship (professional) in Child Life Program
- CL certification or certification eligible within one year of hire
- Current CPR certification (BLS through American Heart Association) required, or must obtain certification within 90 days of hire
