Job Summary
Child Life Specialist Fellow collaborates with the healthcare team to facilitate age-appropriate activities for pediatric patients across developmental stages, using therapeutic play, education, and interventions to support families through hospitalization, procedures, surgeries, and grief. Requires a Master of Science in Child Life and a minimum 600-hour internship under a Certified Child Life Specialist, plus BLS. Performs duties in a pediatric hospital setting in Loma Linda, CA, contributing to safe patient care and high-quality customer service with culturally diverse teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Child Life required
- Minimum 600 hours of Child Life internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist
- Basic life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required
- Child Life Certification eligible (letter of completion of internship) required
