Job Summary
Collaborate with Department of Social Services staff to identify youth for referrals to the Wendy's Wonderful Kids program. Review case records, interview youth, caseworkers, and supportive connections to assist in recruitment, then meet monthly with youth to assess readiness for adoption. Discuss progress with family members and coordinate transition plans with matched families while ensuring adoptive families work toward finalization. Maintain required paperwork and assessments aligned with the WWK evidence-based model. Attend educational opportunities including classroom training, database training, webinars, and the Wendy's Wonderful Kids Summit. Requires a Bachelor's degree, two to seven years of experience with children and families, foster care or recruitment experience, and a valid NYS driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least two years of experience working with children and families
- Experience in child welfare and juvenile detention
- Foster care and/or recruitment experience
- A valid NYS driver's license
- At least five (5) to seven (7) years of experience working with children and families
- Experience in child welfare and juvenile detention
- Foster care and/or recruitment experience
- A valid NYS driver's license
- Travel required
