Job Summary

Provide timely, clinically sound intake, assessment, and counselling services to referred children, youth, and families facing complex challenges such as abuse, trauma, and substance use. Collaborate with clients and referral agents to create actionable care plans, deliver short-to-medium-term therapeutic interventions, and act as a case manager connecting families to community resources. Conduct ongoing risk assessments, safety planning, and maintain communication with agents while upholding confidentiality standards. Participate in clinical supervision, peer consultation, and complete all required documentation and case closures promptly. Deliver individual, family, and couple counselling in-person or virtually with a focus on Arabic-language support and culturally safe, trauma-informed care for racialized and underserved populations.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Current registration in good standing with: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
  • Professional liability insurance
  • At least two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience with: Children, youth, and families experiencing complex mental health and relational issues
  • Trauma, grief, domestic violence, and abuse
  • Mandated clients and families involved with child protection services
  • Substance use and risk assessment
  • Understanding of anti-racism, racial trauma, and anti-oppressive, equity-centered frameworks
  • Clinical experience using evidence-based practices such as: CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, ARC Framework, IFS, and other trauma-informed models
  • Strong skills in engagement, assessment, and intervention with high-risk populations
  • Sessions are conducted either at the provider's private practice location or at a Peel Children's Aid Society (PeelCAS) office
  • In-person service delivery only
  • Arabic-language support to meet the linguistic and cultural needs of our clients
