Job Summary
The Child and Family Specialist (CFS) provides skills-based services aimed at improving social, communication, and daily living skills for children and adolescents. The role involves direct client interaction to deliver individualized Mental Health Rehabilitation services, facilitating activity-based programs, and collaborating with families and other professionals. Candidates must have a relevant degree along with specified experience in mental health settings, and be available for on-call crisis services. Physical demands include the ability to lift 40 lbs and perform various physical activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor's or Associates degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field
- Experience in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment
- Availability to be on-call for crisis related services
- Valid California Driver’s License and proof of Auto Insurance
- Must fulfill all requirements of employment including clearance of all required background records, professional reference checks, physical examination, and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with high-risk children, adolescents, adults and/or families within Wraparound, Mental Health, Educational, Child Welfare and/or Juvenile Probation systems
- Bi-lingual/Bi-literate in Spanish

- Must have a valid California Driver’s License and proof of Auto Insurance
