Job Summary
Supervise and coach child development staff through reflective supervision and regular performance feedback while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of team members. Implement high-quality curriculum aligned with Head Start, childcare, and state/federal standards to maintain safe, developmentally appropriate classroom environments and materials. Coordinate services supporting children and families, including health, nutrition, and mental health supports, ensuring family conferences and home-based services occur as required. Oversee daily center operations to ensure classrooms remain in ratio and monitor child outcomes, evaluation data, and program progress reporting. Provide classroom coverage when needed and partner with families and community stakeholders to meet individual child needs. Work full-time Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts in Providence, Pawtucket, or Central Falls, floating to sites with openings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field (or RIDE ECE certification)
- Strong computer skills using multiple platforms and programs
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, leading or mentoring early childhood staff
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- RIDE ECE certification
- Experience leading or mentoring early childhood staff
