Job Summary
Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play, conversation, and shared activities with autistic children in their homes or centers. Create meaningful connections to help children think, create, and engage with the world while following a relationship-based intervention model. Document session notes and goal outcomes to track progress, then collaborate closely with clinicians and supervisors to build clinical skills and confidence. Learn evidence-based developmental care in real life through paid new hire training and ongoing mentorship from expert clinicians. This part-time role offers $26–$30/hour direct pay plus mileage reimbursement and is ideal for students balancing classes. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, one year of experience with children, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- at least 1 year of volunteer or working experience with children
- Valid driver's license
- reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius)
- Ability to complete physical tasks, including: Playing on the floor/ground for up to two-three hours per session
- Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs
- Sitting, kneeling, crouching, or moving quickly to ensure child safety
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Must be available for Saturday and Sunday shifts
- Must be available for 3pm-8pm hours
- Must be available for 9a-3pm hours
- Must be able to work M-F
- Must be able to work weekends
