Job Summary
Build communication, social, and daily living skills for autistic children through one-on-one play-based interactions in home-based or center settings. Create meaningful connections using a relationship-based intervention model while documenting session notes and tracking goal outcomes. Collaborate closely with clinicians and supervisors to develop clinical skills and confidence in evidence-based developmental care. This part-time role offers $22–$28/hour direct pay, with flexible M-F or weekend schedules, and includes paid training, mentorship, and mileage reimbursement. Ideal for students seeking experience in psychology, social work, or special education.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18+
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius)
- Ability to complete physical tasks, including playing on the floor/ground for up to two-three hours per session
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to sit, kneeling, crouching, or move quickly to ensure child safety
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates
