Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one play-based interactions with autistic children in home or center settings to build communication, social, and daily living skills. Create meaningful connections while tracking progress through documented session notes and goal outcomes. Collaborate with clinicians and supervisors to apply evidence-based developmental care models and gain clinical skills. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 40 lbs, and commitment to a consistent part-time schedule (3–5 days M-F or weekends). This role offers paid training, mentorship, and progression opportunities for students and aspiring clinicians in psychology, social work, or special education.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18+
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius)
- Ability to complete physical tasks, including playing on the floor/ground for up to two-three hours per session
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to sit, kneeling, crouching, or move quickly to ensure child safety
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates
