Job Summary

Build communication, social, and daily living skills in autistic children through play, conversation, and shared activities at home or in centers. Create meaningful connections while tracking progress via session notes and goal outcomes. Collaborate with clinicians and supervisors to apply evidence-based developmental care models. Work one-on-one with children and families, requiring patience, emotional maturity, and the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting up to 40 lbs. Earn $22–$28 per hour on part-time schedules of 3–5 days M-F or weekends, with paid drive time and mileage reimbursement. Ideal for students seeking experience in psychology, social work, or special education.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18+
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius)
  • Ability to complete physical tasks, including playing on the floor/ground for up to two-three hours per session
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to sit, kneeling, crouching, or move quickly to ensure child safety
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates
  • Must be available for 3, 4, or 5 days per week M-F (most available hours are 3pm-8pm)
  • Must be available for Saturday and Sunday (most available hours are between 9a-3pm)
  • Must be able to clear a background check
  • Must successfully complete training
