Job Summary
Build communication, social, and daily living skills for autistic children through one-on-one play-based interactions in home or center settings. Create meaningful connections that help children engage with the world while documenting session notes and tracking goal outcomes. Collaborate closely with clinicians and supervisors to learn evidence-based developmental care models and gain clinical confidence. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, one year of experience with children, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as floor play and lifting up to 40 lbs. Earn $26–$30/hour with part-time M-F or weekend schedules, plus paid drive time and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- at least 1 year of volunteer or working experience with children
- Valid driver's license
- reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius)
- Ability to complete physical tasks, including: Playing on the floor/ground for up to two-three hours per session
- Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs
- Sitting, kneeling, crouching, or moving quickly to ensure child safety
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with families and teammates
