Job Summary
Supervise and promote after-school programs for children and youth, covering academic success, arts, life and workforce readiness, and physical education. Lead program development and implementation, monitor safety and program quality, and model positive youth development. Maintain discipline and a warm, proactive approach with youth; communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and members; participate in staff meetings and trainings; may drive the club van and perform light administrative tasks. Knowledge of youth development, ability to engage and motivate youth, and a commitment to safe, inclusive programming are essential. Must be 18+, able to pass background checks/fingerprinting, and may include CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children preferred
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to relate well with children, motivate youth and manage behaviors
- Ability to interact with the public (verbal and written)
- Ability to implement quality programs for youth
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and mobile when supervising children in a group setting
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Valid Driver’s License with little or no violations preferred
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CPR/First Aid Certification (training provided as needed)
