Job Summary
Support classroom teachers by managing meal prep, rest time, and cleanup while executing planned activities through individual, small, and large group instruction. Reinforce behavioral expectations and maintain a safe environment through constant supervision, promoting health, hygiene, and nutrition practices. Coordinate center opening and closing procedures, communicate with parents regarding development and behavior, and assist with light housekeeping duties. Perform special projects as assigned and greet each child and parent upon arrival.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR Heartsaver AED required within 90 days of hire
- Good communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Phone skills
- Customer service skills
- Must be on-site at the St. John's Health campus or other facilities
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Four to six hours of the day spent standing and walking
- Intermittent sitting, often on the floor with children
- Must be able to move from sitting on floor to standing several times per day
Desired Qualifications
- One year of documented experience working in a Child Care setting
