Job Summary
Guide children aged 6–12 through meaningful activities, plan special events, and ensure their safety and supervision. Use Club Vans to transport children to and from school and recreational sites. Recruit, train, and support program volunteers while liaising with community providers to coordinate services and facilitate referrals. Establish open communication with parents and ensure all agency policies, licensing regulations, and facility safety standards are met. Maintain records and produce required reports. Work 25 hours weekly from 1:30pm to 6:30pm Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or other social services
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Food Safe (or willingness to obtain)
- Class 4 Driver's Licence
- Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check
- Union membership
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
