Job Summary
Provide for the safety, well-being, and supervision of youth with behavioral and mental health challenges in residential and community settings. Engage with children of all ages to foster therapeutic relationships, assess their progress, and promote their physical and emotional development through counseling and daily routine instruction. Communicate regularly with staff, social workers, and medical personnel regarding each child's needs while maintaining security of unit areas. Respond to challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism, and provide safe transportation for youth and families as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 21 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in human services, mental or behavioral health, or with youth
- Driver's License
- ability to maintain insurability throughout employment
