Job Summary
Implement the curriculum and follow program standards established by the YMCA, the New York State Department of Education, and the School District. Assist and support the UPK teacher with administrative tasks while projecting a positive image and developing relationships with students, parents, staff, and school administration. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of program areas, ensure PPE compliance, and enforce safety rules by reporting and treating any injuries. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. Carry out other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the requirements outlined in the contract with the School District and/or the local Board of Education.
- Must be dependable and conscientious.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with preschool age children is preferred.
