Job Summary
Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for children while planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Supervise and engage with children to foster positive behavior, collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure a holistic learning experience, and maintain a clean, organized classroom. Communicate effectively with parents regarding child progress, concerns, and milestones, and follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Minimum two years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a structured childcare setting
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in Early Childhood Education
