Child Care Teacher

As a Preschool/Child Care Teacher at Primrose School of Schertz, you will be responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children, implementing lesson plans and the daily classroom schedule, maintaining a clean and attractive classroom, and providing warm, consistent expectations and praise to support children’s behavioral development. You will work with a team of two to three teachers per classroom to ensure continuity of care, coverage during PTO, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The role involves applying knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children, supporting a safe and healthy learning environment, and helping children explore, discover, and understand the world around them. Requirements include being 18+, passing a background check, and meeting local child care regulatory agency standards; prior teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed program is preferred. The position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends), a starting wage of $13.50/hour ($27,000–$33,000/year depending on experience and education), overtime opportunities, paid time off, healthcare and retirement options, and planning/training support to help you grow within the role.
