Job Summary
Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children while maintaining open communication with parents regarding daily milestones. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines, providing supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services per Bright Horizons' policies. Work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to support children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. This role requires compliance with all applicable background checks, immunizations, and health and safety training.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks
- meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings
- CDA, Associate, or bachelor's degree in early education or related field
- 9 credits including child growth and development OR child growth and development, and 1,000 hours in a center
