Job Summary
Bright Horizons seeks a full-time Preschool/ Toddler Teacher to join our Brookings, SD program. Responsibilities include creating hands-on activities aligned with children's needs and interests, maintaining open communication with parents about daily milestones, and ensuring a safe, clean classroom by following key procedures and guidelines. The role requires passing state and company background checks and meeting state education/experience requirements (18+ with high school diploma or GED). Preferred qualifications include related college coursework or a CDA, and a CDA/Associate/Bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field. The position involves in-person work from 8:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with compensation between $17.75 and $21.70 per hour plus benefits and opportunities for further education through Bright Horizons’ Horizons CDA & Degree Program.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
- background checks (state and company)
- state minimum education and experience requirements as applicable
- Related college-level early education coursework or CDA preferred
- CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP)
- in-person work in Brookings, SD area
- immunizations/health and safety requirements as applicable
