Job Summary
Bright Horizons Child Care Teacher responsible for planning hands-on activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers; maintaining open communication with parents about daily milestones; ensuring a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines; providing coverage across a center or nearby locations as needed; in-person work at a Bright Horizons early education/preschool center in the Nashville area (Peoria, IL in the posting hints); opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost; immunization/health and safety training compliance; requires lifting and active participation with young children.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
- Background checks as required by state and company
- state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
- 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
