Job Summary
Child Care Substitute Leaders sought to assist in supervising and managing safe, developmentally appropriate programs in accordance with R’Club’s mission. Responsibilities include implementing activities per agency curriculum, maintaining attendance and records, ensuring safety and order, serving as staff member in charge as needed, supporting center staff and director, assisting with food service and parent communication, complying with licensing and agency requirements, and attending required training. Requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to relate to children, staff, parents, and community; must meet screening and training requirements and hold current First Aid and Pediatric CPR certification; must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance; availability to fill in for staff and work extended hours when necessary. High school diploma or GED and age 18+ are required; 90-day probation applies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass HRS screening requirements
- Pass DCF screening requirements
- Valid First Aid and Pediatric CPR certificates
- Negative TB test
- Driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
- Ability to lift children and participate in housekeeping
- Willingness to work beyond scheduled time
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience developing curriculum plans and program scheduling
