Job Summary
Provide childcare and educational enrichment for children ages 1 to 12 while supervising them and managing conflicts effectively. Ensure safety, uphold agency policies, and maintain confidentiality for children and families. Work with at-risk youth in a supportive environment, prioritizing multiple projects and communicating with diverse individuals. Complete a criminal background check and possess personal transportation for travel within the Portland Metropolitan area. Flexibility to work evening hours is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED certificate or relevant, related equivalent experience
- Experience providing childcare and enrichment to various age ranges of children (1 to 12 years of age)
- Flexibility to work evening hours
- Criminal background check which includes a fingerprint background check
- Personal transportation allowing for travel within the Portland Metropolitan area in a timely manner
- Valid driver license for the state of residency
- Personal auto liability insurance coverage
- Driving record permitting coverage under the agency auto liability policy
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to stand occasionally
- Ability to use computer, telephone, fax machine, copier
- Ability to access locations by use of stairs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with academic enrichment programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
