Job Summary
Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks through 12 years in an assigned classroom while creating developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards. Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles within a warm, clean environment that permits exploration. Partner with families to create individualized care and education plans, providing effective communication regarding each child's progress. Work side-by-side with teachers and families to maintain a home-away-from-home atmosphere. Full-time role with no evenings or weekends; requires an Associate Degree, CDA, or Head Teacher certification plus two years of licensed facility experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Head Teacher certification
- 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
