Job Summary
Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in an assigned classroom while creating developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards. Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles to maintain a warm, clean environment that permits exploration. Partner with families to create individualized care and education plans, providing effective communication regarding each child's progress. This full-time role in Glastonbury, CT, requires an Associate Degree or CDA credential with two years of experience in a licensed facility.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Head Teacher certification OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses OR Bachelor's Degree required
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
