Job Summary
Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years while working side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home. Assist with classroom instruction, decorate indoor and outdoor spaces, and maintain a warm, clean environment that permits children to grow and explore. Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities and provide effective communication with parents regarding their child. Work Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm at the Smyrna center. No evenings or weekends are required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Currently enrolled in your High School's Early Childhood Education (ECE) Pathways program
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment
