Job Summary
Plan and deliver a consistent child-centered program for 0-6 year olds under YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum; provide quality compassionate care and support to children and families; ensure supervision and safety at all times; uphold diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; embody YMCA core values in a flexible part-time, one-year contract role at YMCA Child Care locations in Sarnia, Brights Grove, and Corunna; requires First Aid/CPR, immunizations, Vulnerable Sector Check, and legal eligibility to work in Canada; shifts Monday–Friday ranging 6:00am–6:00pm with 2 shifts per week minimum.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children 0-12 years in a work or school placement setting is an asset
- Plans to enroll or current pursuit of a diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field is an asset
- Early Childhood Education graduates must be registered with CECE or in process
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or scheduled within next three months
- Minimum age 18+ for Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by Public Health & YMCASWO
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
