Child Care Director

Directs and oversees the licensed preschool/childcare and summer camp program, ensuring compliance with Delacare and Delaware STARS; manages day-to-day operations, budget, and staff supervision. Develops and implements program goals, selects and adapts educational approaches and materials, conducts assessments of children’s development, and maintains records. Collaborates with families to set individual learning goals, communicates progress, and coordinates with Club Directors to align objectives. Plans and leads activities that promote physical, mental, and social development; arranges space for safe, creative play; and ensures safety and high-quality care. Responsible for reporting, administrative duties, and contributing to the positive presence of Boys & Girls Clubs in the community.
