Job Summary
Coordinate services of the program to provide consistent therapeutic care for the children of the facility. Lead primary prevention groups for children, assist in crisis intervention and case planning, and conduct parenting programs with clients. Establish schedules and activities for all child care areas, coordinate services with community agencies and schools, and arrange transportation for children to school, field trips, and appointments. Audit and maintain children's charts, ensure services meet minimum standards, and develop community resources with appropriate referrals. Assist parents with behavior plans, discharge plans, and physical examinations, while reporting any indications of abuse or neglect. Inventories and orders child care and nursery supplies, and represents the Program Director in their absence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in one-on one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract two (2) digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to perform assigned duties and responsibilities with neatness, accuracy and a degree of excellence in a timely manner
- Must have completed all training required by agency
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to use personal computers and associated software applications
