Job Summary
Conduct on-site technical assistance visits to Type III early learning centers and registered family child care providers to implement best practices and promote sustained change. Deliver targeted coaching on Early Learning and Development Standards, Teaching Strategies GOLD documentation, curriculum, and CLASS assessment results, including needs assessments and live observations. Guide providers in setting schedules for TS GOLD checkpoints, modeling age-appropriate lesson plans, and organizing in-service training programs. Prepare required reports on visits and collaborate with supervisors to develop personal professional development plans. Offer emotional support and connect teachers with resources for additional development while building collaborative relationships with community partners and Department of Education specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate credential
- 1-3 years relevant experience in an early childhood setting
- Knowledge of CLASS, Teaching Strategies GOLD, Louisiana's Birth to Kindergarten Early Learning and Development Standards, and high-quality curriculum
- Louisiana Child Care Criminal Background Check clearance
- Microsoft Office software applications and Google Forms
Desired Qualifications
- Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K CLASS observation reliability preferred
