Job Summary
Prepare home-style, nutritious meals and snacks for children and staff in a childcare center, following the school menu, budget, and applicable USDA, licensing, and health-department regulations. Create meal plans within the program’s guidelines, maintain inventory and order supplies as needed, and assist in classrooms as an Assistant Teacher/Floater. The role emphasizes kitchen responsibilities, adherence to regulatory requirements, inventory management, and flexible scheduling within a part-time shift.
Required Qualifications
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
- A willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
- Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.
