Job Summary
Conduct hands-on activities and provide supervision, care, and curriculum delivery for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in an early education center. Maintain open communication with parents regarding daily milestones and ensure a safe, clean classroom by following essential procedures. Respond immediately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies while maintaining full mental and physical alertness. This role requires in-person work in the Florham Park, NJ area with a full-time schedule, offering a competitive hourly rate of $16.85-20.95. Candidates must pass background checks and meet state and company requirements, with a preference for a CDA or degree in early education.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED
- pass required state and company background checks
- meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training
- work in person in an early education/preschool child care center
- Frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds
- occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds
- Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise fully participate in activities
- Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements
