Job Summary
Support the S.A.C.C. Director to ensure a safe, secure learning environment for school-age children. Assist in planning daily events, organize crafts and games, lead stories, and manage lunchtime activities. Monitor children on the playground and communicate with staff, students, and the community to answer questions and disseminate information. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and safety regulations. This role requires CPR/First Aid training and experience with children's groups.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years or older
- Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be caring, understanding, and friendly towards students
- Ability to relate to children with special needs
- Ability to read and interpret school policies and handbook
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen and small numbers
- Occasional ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds of files, materials, computer and audio visual equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children's groups and/or training in early childhood development or childcare
