Job Summary
Provide a safe, structured environment for children through group and individual therapy sessions while implementing the Positive Leaps model of care. Conduct threat assessments, support treatment objectives set by the Program Coordinator, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with Ohio laws and payer requirements. Collaborate with families, peers, and supervisors to track progress, offer constructive feedback, and manage classroom organization. Handle direct interactions with children who may display physical aggression in a physically active setting. Requires an Ohio LSW and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Ohio
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Comfortable working with children of all ages, especially ages 3–8
- CPR/First Aid Certification (must be obtained within 3 weeks of hire)
- Annual flu vaccination (or approved medical/religious exemption)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a physically active environment and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check
