Job Summary

Chair statutory reviews for children and young people in care, ensuring care plans are purposeful, timely, and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes. Provide constructive challenge where needed and support high-quality planning throughout the care journey, promoting the voice and lived experience of children while working closely with social workers, carers, families, and partner agencies. Conduct quality assurance to ensure children receive the best service possible, maintaining independence and a clear focus on the child's best interests. This fixed-term, full-time role requires five years post-qualifying experience in children's social care and managerial or supervisory experience. Applicants must demonstrate strong knowledge of the statutory review framework, safeguarding, and permanence, with the ability to chair complex meetings and offer professional challenge in a restorative way.

Required Qualifications
