Job Summary
Evaluate patients' mental health status through interviews, observations, tests, and medical histories in outpatient and partial hospitalization settings. Develop comprehensive treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide psychotherapy services while determining appropriate levels of care for eating disorders. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, dietitians, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans, document records, and communicate with families regarding conditions and plans. Stay current with latest trends in child psychiatry and eating disorder diagnosis and treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- completed residency in Psychiatry
- Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Valid and current state medical license
- Strong knowledge in child psychiatry principles, procedures and techniques
