Job Summary
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist leads multidisciplinary treatment teams diagnosing and treating mood, anxiety, eating disorders and co-occurring disorders; prescribes psychotropic medications and provides psychotherapies; determines appropriate level of care; advocates for patients within health care systems; ensures thorough documentation; collaborates with staff and leadership; serves as trainee supervisor and mentor; participates in quality and program improvement activities; requires MD/DO, board certification in psychiatry, and active licensure in the state(s) served; compensation in the California pay range, with a focus on patient care and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Graduation from an accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Program and fellowships for specialists or equivalent training
- Physician Board Certified in General Psychiatry and/ or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state(s) seeing patients
- BLS/ CPR certifications, Licensures and Registrations
- All certifications for this position must be kept current
- Knowledge of regulatory body requirements (Joint Commissions, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
