Job Summary
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist sought at OU Health to join the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, DPBS, on the Clinical Educator track with 90% clinical effort and 10% administration/education/research. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating pediatric patients, developing treatment plans, leading treatment teams with individual, group, expressive and family therapies, determining level of care and hospitalization needs, educating families, consulting with providers and courts, supervising residents and fellows, timely documentation, and participating in scholarly activities. Qualities include ability to work under pressure, lead an interdisciplinary team, and engage in clinical education and program development. Faculty appointment with Oklahoma Medical License and board certification/eligibility in Child Psychiatry are required.
Required Qualifications
- A Medical degree and Oklahoma Medical License.
- Board certification in general psychiatry.
- Successful completion of an accredited child fellowship program.
- Board eligible in Child Psychiatry.
- Knowledge of and experience managing complex clinical cases.
- Ability to work under intense pressure and respond to difficult questions.
- Ability to work with and lead an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal and team membership skills.
- Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent teaching, analytic and scholarship skills.
- Experience in program development is desirable.
- Experience: 2 years of experience, including training, required.
- License/Certification/Registration: Licensed as a psychiatrist in the State of Oklahoma required.
