Job Summary
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Case Manager delivers clinical services and community supports to children and adolescents with severe mental illness, following the Texas Resiliency and Recovery Model and HHSC and Medicaid standards. Responsibilities include facilitating access to community resources, conducting assessments, developing Recovery Plans, and serving on crisis call after hours with compensation. Must respond to crisis situations, demonstrate trauma-informed practices, collaborate with a team, and maintain professional standards. Requires aptitude for working with severely mentally ill and often impoverished individuals, with knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, assessment, behavioral interventions, and recovery planning. Reassignment may occur; work location and hours may change based on program needs. Education, Training, and Experience specify a Bachelor’s degree in social, behavioral or human services field, with preference for experience with severe mental illness. Skills include reading/writing reports, effective communication with clients and families, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in social, behavioral or human services field
- Experience with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive Center vehicles
- Must pass all Center mandated trainings
