Job Summary
Join a diverse team of counselors and social workers providing mental health services in a collaborative outpatient setting. Provide initial screenings and mental health assessments, develop treatment plans with clients and families, and deliver individual, family, and group therapy. Offer case management and coordinate care with internal and external providers. Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development; caseload focuses on children, adolescents, and young adults, with potential adult clients. Flexible schedule with evening and Saturday hours; exempt, full-time, 37.5-hour work week. Located in Elk Grove Village, IL. Kenneth Young Center emphasizes evidence-based practices and a supportive work environment to promote client functioning and community wellness.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or University in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or closely related discipline required (candidates currently enrolled in a master’s program will be considered on a case by case basis)
- LCSW/LCPC preferred, but will consider applicants that are eligible to sit for the exam in the future
- Must have supervised experience in providing counseling and/or psychotherapy services
- Must demonstrate knowledge in the areas of diagnostic assessment, long and short term treatment, family systems theory and group treatment
- Must have basic computer and keyboarding skills
