Job Summary
Child Abuse Pediatrician sought to join Saint Peter's University Hospital's Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center. The role involves conducting trauma-informed medical and psychological assessments for suspected physical, emotional, and sexual abuse and medical neglect; providing forensic evidence documentation, case consultation to prosecutors, and serving as an expert or fact witness in court, depositions, and testimony. Responsibilities include presenting on recognizing and responding to abuse for medical residents, law enforcement, school personnel, and DYFS social workers; collaborating with a multidisciplinary team; and supporting leadership with open exchange of ideas. The position includes full-time clinical base compensation with substantial PTO (over 40 days per year) and retirement match, along with comprehensive health and family caregiving benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an appropriate ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Pediatrics
- Fellowship trained in Child Abuse Pediatrics
- Board certification or eligible in Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics
- MD or DO license in the State of New Jersey
- DEA and CDS license
- Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance
